For this to happen, the design process is an important one, so read on for more about how we can work together to create your piece of bespoke cake art.
When designing your bespoke cake, it is important that I get as much information as possible about what you would like from your cake, such as any inspiration or ideas you may already have for our design. This could vary from favourite colours, a theme, a favourite movie, or a family pet! Inspiration really can come from anywhere, and the more I know about your recipient or event, the better!
During this stage, I can provide rough sketches to help you visualise what your cake could look like. If you’re stuck for ideas, take a look at my gallery of previous creations for inspiration!
An important part of the decision is of course the flavour of your cake – there are plenty of options to choose from, so browse my menu to find out more.
Once we’ve discussed your design, if you decide you would like to place an order, I require a 50% deposit in order to secure the booking, with the remaining balance is due 6 weeks before collection / delivery. I can then get to work on developing a detailed design and preparing for the creation of your bespoke cake!
It’s always an honour to be trusted with creating a wedding cake for your special day, so it’s important that my creation perfectly represents you as a couple and everything that you are trying to capture as part of your wedding day. Inspiration for your wedding cake may come from your favourite movies, a piece of artwork in your home, a hobby that you share, or perhaps a stunning feature of your wedding venue.
For wedding cake orders, I offer a cake tasting and design consultation, so we can speak in more detail about what you would like from your wedding cake, come up with some initial design ideas, whilst of course, enjoying some of my cake flavours!
Cake tasting and design consultations come at a fee of £70, which includes cake samples for you to try, as well as your initial customised cake design sketch. Should you wish to place an order with me, this charge is fully redeemable against the final cost of your cake. Virtual consultations are also possible – please enquire for further details.
